This song breaks my heart; such a helpless feeling to go through something like that…
This song breaks my heart; such a helpless feeling to go through something like that…
Try to guess whose perspective this song is meant to be from.
…I hope it’s not too obvious from the album artwork.
I thought this was interesting; keep in mind that your actions can influence those around you more than you think.
I’m sitting here at the FAC at 3:40am trying to do calculus, and all I can think about is other things.
My friend was showing me his Tumblr earlier, and I was amazed by how creative he was in his photography and pretty much just the whole layout of his thoughts on a website. It made me a little jealous because I’ve always wanted that creative side that was good at that sort of thing.
But when I really think about it, shouldn’t I be grateful for my own God-given talents and gifts? In 1 Corinthians 12, verses 12 & 26-27 Paul writes:
Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ…If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. (NIV)
As it says, we are all part of one body, all contributing to God’s glory in our own ways. God has assigned each of us a special task in His Kingdom, and we are privileged to have been given these opportunities. Who am I to take for granted my God-given abilities? Though I may admire the attributes of another person, I should always look to my God and find His work in me to be perfect and good in every way.
Thank God for the talents that I’ve been given so graciously so that I can continue to serve Him in everything I do.
Perfect nighttime song when you’re more up for something fun instead of going to bed.
I read a quote today that really caught my attention.
“Never let your head hang down. Never give up and sit down and grieve. Find another way. And don’t pray when it rains if you don’t pray when the sun shines.” — Leroy Satchel Paige
How often do we thank God for a beautiful day that is going well? When I read that, I thought to myself how today is a blessing in itself, and thankfully God had provided for me a stress-free morning. I wouldn’t have thought immediately to thank Him for such a blessed morning.
Have you thanked God for today?
Should’ve played this on Easter Sunday, but better late than never, right?
